Controversial nominated senator, Karen Njeri Nyamu, has dismissed rumors of a breakup with her partner, Samuel Muchoki, popularly known as Samidoh.

On Monday morning, the mother of three posted a video of herself doing a workout, and a Facebook user mocked her, suggesting that she resorts to the gym every time her partner leaves her, hinting that her relationship with Samidoh had hit a snag.

“Every time you get dumped, you run to the gym,” a fan identified as Susan Mukami commented under Karen Nyamu’s workout video.

In response, the UDA senator clarified that the claims of being dumped by her partner were false. She added that she and her partner were not separating anytime soon.

“Don’t amuse yourself with lies. Hehehe, speak the truth of your heart that we are not separating. If it wants to break, let it break hehehe,” Karen Nyamu replied.

This comes amid speculation that Senator Nyamu’s relationship with Samidoh may be in trouble after the Mugithi singer was seen visiting his other children living with his ex-wife, Edday Nderitu, in the United States.

Earlier this month, Samidoh enjoyed time with his three children and Edday Nderitu in the United States. Nderitu and her children have been in the U.S. for several months since she separated from the Mugithi singer early last year due to marital conflicts.

Last week, Samidoh’s eldest daughter, Shirleen Muchoki, confirmed that the Mugithi artist was with them in the United States. Shirleen corroborated Senator Nyamu’s earlier revelation about Samidoh’s visit in one of her posts.

Responding to a fan in one of her Facebook posts earlier this month, the nominated senator disclosed that Samidoh went to the United States to see his children. She also took the opportunity to make it clear that there would be no issue if the Mugithi singer chose to reconcile with his first wife, Edday Nderitu.

“He (Samidoh) is there as we speak, seeing the kids. Even when Eddy comes back for the mix, we’ve shared many years peacefully, he’ll never be a problem,” Karen Nyamu said on Friday.

Furthermore, she made it clear that she would not join Samidoh and his other family in the United States as it would complicate matters against their wishes.

Nyamu and Samidoh have been enjoying their love in peace for several months now after the first wife of the musician, Edday Nderitu, revealed that she had left him to be with a “woman who needed him more.”
