Veteran Akorino artiste Watoro Wa Mother has launched a scathing attack on his colleague Karangu Muraya.

Watoro accused Karangu of refusing to honour an agreement in which he wrote songs for him in return of some royalties.

Going live on Facebook on Friday, he demanded Sh3 million payment from his colleague who is also a philanthropist with a huge following on social media.

Karangu has several hits including Gutiri Mugwi, Ngenete Ngikugooca, Ni Tha, Rathimwo, Ti Uhoro among others.

“This man has done so many bad things to me but I have been keeping quiet. I have been patient with him for long but now I’m fed up. Enough is enough. He must pay me Sh3 million for the songs I wrote for him,” Watoro said furiously.

The musician issued the demands days after Karangu collected millions from his fans and followers during a thanksgiving ceremony he held at Ruiru stadium on Sunday.

A section of netizens accused Watoro of being jealous of his long-time friend over his successful event at Ruiru.

“I think you jealous after his event at Ruiru Stadium..the last time we checked you had taken him to police station, why don’t you go there and solve your issues ..When did Facebook became the Court of law….Hii Mdomo mingi ni ya ufala…You cannot fight Karangu,….Wewe chenye kinakusumbua ni wivu tu,” said Ken Njuguna.

US-based Kenyan businesswoman Wairimu Kimani urged Karangu to take Watoro to court noting he fond of maligning him.

“Jelous and bitter, wants to deep his hands in the cookie jar after a very successful event? Sue and Silence him; this is too much. There is NO mediation that will work; take some legal action againt this bully who could care less about your family, kids or reputation? Believers need to use legal means and stop this “I’m leaving them to God”? What about your mental health? Cease and Desist,” Wairimu said.

Others advised Watoro to stop fighting Karangu and concentrate of his businesses and music.

“I won’t get tired to tell you work hard and be consistent with music and preaching. Soon than later, utakuwa umejisimamia. This fight against Karangu will do you more harm because no company will wish to work with you,” said Sam Samchew.
