Even as he asked Murang’a Governor Irungu Kang’ata to write a letter to the Head of State informing him of the actual situation on the ground, Githunguri MP Gathoni Wamuchomba claimed on Sunday that clergy members are finding it difficult to mention President William Ruto’s name during their regular prayers for the country.Gathoni Wamuchomba listed several issues that the Head of State should be aware of on her Twitter account. She chose Dr. Irungu Kang’ata, the governor of Murang’a, as the only person who could write something that would be heard by the Head of State.

“Dear Governor Irungu Kang’ata; You have a way of writing letters to Presidents.

“Please write to our president and inform him of the following issues, as he might not be aware that his message of regards was openly rejected when one MP mentioned His names in Nakuru during the official opening of a hospital.

Gathoni Wamuchomba posted on Twitter, “That some clergy are finding it difficult to Mention his name during the prayer of our nation, a tradition in most of our churches.”

In 2020, Kang’ata rose to fame after writing a letter to former President Uhuru Kenyatta explaining why the BBI project was making him less popular in the Mount Kenya region.
