Police in Kajiado are investigating an incident where a man was sodomised before being killed.
In an incident that has shocked residents, the man whose identity is yet to be disclosed, was found dead inside a lodging in Isinya.
The body was found by the caretaker of the facility who quickly alerted the police.
The caretaker told the police that the man booked two rooms while in the company of three other men. After booking the rooms, the men walked in for the night, and the following day, three of them left the facility. At about 1 pm, a cleaner stumbled on the lifeless body lying on bed.
Police who visited the scene said the body had no physical injuries and it is suspected that he was sodomized before being killed.
Homicide detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have launched investigations to establish the motive of the incident.
The body was taken to the mortuary awaiting postmortem.
