Suna East MP Junet Mohamed has praised President William Ruto’s efforts to create an inclusive government that represents all Kenyans. Speaking during the launch of the Junet Mohamed Football Tournament in Migori County, the lawmaker emphasized that a government should serve the needs of all citizens.
“The government is becoming broader and more inclusive because it is meant for all Kenyans,” Junet stated. He added that the primary role of the government is to ensure it works for the people. He also expressed support for the president’s recent appointments and adjustments within the Cabinet.
Junet emphasized the importance of competence and qualifications when selecting individuals for government positions. “As long as the person has the experience to work in the government, they should be allowed to do the job,” he said. This, he noted, ensures that the government operates effectively and efficiently for the benefit of its citizens.
The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) lawmaker declared his party’s full support for the president’s recent moves. According to him, President Ruto’s Cabinet changes symbolize a step toward fostering inclusivity and diversity. He acknowledged that the changes reflect the Kenyan people’s long-standing desire for representation and equality in leadership.
Junet also encouraged all Kenyans to support such initiatives, as they are crucial in promoting national unity. He dismissed complaints about appointments, reiterating that individuals selected for government roles should be judged based on their ability to deliver results.
The lawmaker concluded by highlighting the importance of creating opportunities for all Kenyans, regardless of political affiliations or backgrounds. By ensuring that appointments are merit-based, he argued, the government can achieve its mission of delivering services to all citizens.
