Suna East MP Junet Mohamed has now called President Ruto to drop his Finance Bill and adopt that of Raila Odinga as he claims it can change Kenya to be like Singapore.
According to the video shared, Junet has claimed that President Ruto should adopt the Azimio housing levy which he claims that they had copied from that of Singapore of collecting money cheaply and not by harshly taxing already overburdened kenyans.
“Can I tell the majority leader that the housing levy that he has alluded to in the Azimio manifesto is completely different from that of Kenya Kwanza, our housing levy was modeled to that of Singapore where we were to collect money cheaply not this one of collecting through the nose, if you allow as to donate our manifesto to you, kenyans will be happy about it,” Junet Mohamed said.
This comes as the debate on whether to pass the the bill or shoot it down is heated with President Ruto pleading with his allied lawmakers to pass it while Raila has affirmed that his MPs will shoot down the bill.
