National Assembly Minority Leader Junet Mohamed has criticized President William Ruto’s Council of Economic Advisors (CEA), questioning why the Head of State continues to consult its members.
Taking to his X account on Friday, the Suna East Member of Parliament shared a photo of President Ruto in a meeting with CEA members, including its chair, economist David Ndii, and former Public Service Cabinet Secretary (CS) Moses Kuria, who was recently appointed by Ruto as a senior economic advisor.
Also present in the photo was Treasury CS John Mbadi and other members of CEA. The group appeared to be brainstorming.
Junet Mohamed captioned the photo, “The president is still consulting these brokers in the name of advisors!”
Besides Ndii and Kuria, the President’s Council of Economic Advisors also includes Dr. Nancy Laibuni, Dr. Augustine Cheruiyot, Mohammed Hassan, Vincent Machuki, and former Cabinet Secretary for the East African Community (EAC) Adan Mohamed.
