Contrary to many anticipated, adopted daughter of former President Gideon Moi will not be buried at their expansive Kabarak farm.
Published by The Standard Media, June Chebet Moi ‘s funeral service would only be held at Kabarak University grounds before being transported to her final resting place.
June moi who passed on in April 11th aged 60 will be buried today at her farm in Bahati constituency Nakuru county.
“Body of June Moi, former President Daniel Moi’s daughter, arrives at Kabarak University grounds for the funeral service; she will be buried at their family farm in Bahati, Nakuru County,” The standard.
Former Baringo senator Gideon Moi is leading the family in bidding their kin farewell. The political class has joined them for the ongoing funeral service at Kabarak.
Many of Azimio leaders led by Kalonzo Musyoka and Eugene Wamalwa are among leaders present in the service.
“Even though she was President Moi’s daughter, you never saw that in her demeanour. She made sure that whenever her dad was engaging political leaders, she would accord them the time and space. She had tremendous respect for leaders,” Wiper Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka remembers June Moi.
