Juma Victor, has vowed never to retreat even as he revealed that he will start attending protests.

He was captured on camera as a police officer posing as a journalist in Mathare slums pounced on him as he protested against police.

“I was angry because my baby was suffocating and that is why I got out of my house,” he said during a requiem service at the SKM centre, Karen.

While recounting the moment, Juma said he was not protesting but had walked out to protest against the police who had lobed a teargas canister into their houses.

Juma asked President William Ruto to be mindful of Kenyans’ suffering and help the youth whom he promised jobs.

“We are suffering, my child was hurt as I watched and I was angry and that is why I got out.

We were hit badly and squeezed in a small room at the cells .But we shall not be intimidated.” He said

Juma, whose hand was fractured during the scuffle with a police officer as he was being arrested, said although that day he was not protesting, he will henceforth join anti-government demos.

“I was not protesting but if Baba (Azimio leader Raila Odinga) calls for protests tomorrow, I will get out and join others,” he said.
