Julie Gichuru’s husband, Anthony Gichuru, comes from a prominent family. Tony and Julie officially met in 1999, but their families had long been interacting.
Although Tony and Julie’s families had been communicating for a while, their formal meeting took place in 1999.
When Julie’s parents divorced, she was reluctant to formally join them. Their first two children, Kimoshe and Njeri, were born during that phase of their partnership. Only in 2003 did Julie consent to a legal union. That year, on November 29th, they got married.
