Former IEBC vice-chair Juliana Cherera and Commissioner Irene Masit on 28th September afternoon appeared before the national dialogue committee.
However speaking, the duo revealed they were forced to left the country due to security reasons as they were receiving threats from the government officials.
“Juliana Cherera and Irene Masit tell the national dialogue committee that they left the country due to security reasons”, the report intimates.
This comes months after the former prime minister Raila Odinga in an event accused the government of going after Cherera and team following their stance on 2022 august presidential results.
The duo who are currently abroad were presenting their memorandum before the committee which is expected to reconstitute the IEBC commission ahead of next general election.
