Popular content creator from Kenya, Jude Magambo, also known as Manzi wa Meru, has denied ever having a romantic relationship with the late Brian Chira.
Speaking in an interview with radio presenter Massawe Japanni on Radio Jambo, the TikTok star made it clear that he and Chira were just close friends.
He stated that despite appearing to be romantically involved, especially when they were in entertainment venues, they never reached the stage of dating.
âNo, I didnât date him. However, he was very touchy, especially when he was drunk. But we never had those dating conversations,â said Jude Magambo.
He added, âHe enjoyed being with me, and he was very touchy. I wouldnât tell him to stop; I would allow him because I knew it was the alcohol, and eventually, he would stop. But we never got to the dating stage.â
However, the TikTok star noted that many people believe they were dating, and some even refer to him as the widow now.
âFor me, I didnât date Chira,â he emphasized.
Magambo also admitted to missing Chira greatly. He revealed that when Chira was alive, they did many things together and created unforgettable memories that still haunt him.
âI miss Chira so much. We used to do a lot of things together. At times, he felt like my brother. Whenever I felt he was far away, I felt something was wrong. It didnât feel right if I hadnât seen him for a week or three days,â he recounted.
He said that he used to meet Chira regularly even after moving out from where they lived together to Ruaka.
âNow when the weekend comes, I think, âChira would have been here; we would have been somewhere.â Every time I went out with him, I made sure he got home safely because I knew him. Chira was someone who, when drunk, caused a lot of trouble, he was disruptive,â he said.
He mentioned that he and Chira were inseparable as they had formed a strong friendship.
In the interview, Magambo admitted to being gay and urged people to accept him as he is. He also revealed that he is already in a relationship with another man.
