Popular environmentalist Truphena Muthoni is currently indeed among the happiest people in the world.

This is because Guinness World Records has officially confirmed that it has received the evidence of her 72-hour tree-hugging record.

This big news was actually revealed by Truphena Muthoni via a post that she made on her Facebook account on Wednesday afternoon.

The 22-year-old environmentalist shared a screenshot of the email that she had received from Guinness World Records regarding the evidence that she had submitted to them.

Truphena Muthoni then accompanied the screenshot with a caption saying:

“Evidence Received!”

What Truphena Muthoni submitted as evidence
Truphena Muthoni had also earlier taken to her Facebook account and shared a video of the things that she submitted as evidence of her tree-hugging record to Guinness World Records.

What was clear is that she submitted witness statements, statements from two time keepers, video evidence, media articles, photographic evidence, rest break log book as well as other miscellaneous evidence.

The recent developments therefore mean that Guinness World Records will have to go through the evidence that Truphena Muthoni submitted, and if they are pleased, then they will ratify the 72-hour record that she set in December last year.

If all goes well, then the 22-year-old wildlife activist will hold two records – both the 48-hour tree-hugging record, and the 72-hour tree-hugging record.

It can be remembered that Truphena Muthoni set the 48-hour tree-hugging record in late January and early February 2025, but it was ratified in December 2025.
