Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Kipchumba Sudi has warmed the hearts of many online after fulfilling a heartfelt promise he made to a talented 13-year-old boy from Kampala, Uganda.
The boy, Herbert Mukisa, captured Sudi’s attention during a recent pool tournament held at the MP’s Timber XO Club in Eldoret city. Despite his young age, Herbert stunned the crowd with his sharp focus and skill, managing to battle his way to the round of 32, defeating opponents twice his age in the process.
Moved by the boy’s raw talent and determination, Sudi took time to speak with him and soon discovered that Herbert hails from a humble background in the Ndebwa, Katwe Kibuye area of Kampala. Deeply touched, the legislator made a public pledge: to support Herbert’s education and help nurture his gift.
True to his word, Oscar Sudi announced via Facebook that Herbert had officially been enrolled at Landmark Junior School in Zzana, Uganda. Alongside the education sponsorship, Sudi also gifted the young champion his very own pool table to help him continue sharpening his skills.
Photos shared online by the MP show a radiant Herbert, dressed neatly in his new school uniform with a wide, hopeful smile.
The story has sparked a wave of admiration online, with many Kenyans praising Sudi not only for recognizing talent but for acting on his promise to uplift a young life beyond borders.
