Tuesday the 30th of January was indeed a special for celebrated Citizen TV journalist Jamila Mohamed.

This is because one of her sons by the moniker of Abdulhakim was turning a year older and being proud of the milestone, she took took to her social media to mark the milestone.

The seasoned journalist infact pampered him with love as she marked his 18th birthday, even though he was currently abroad studying.

“Another adult in the family! Acting second last born (acting for too long, too!) Is turning 18 today! Alhamdullilah! Happy birthday, Abdulhakim ❤️ 😍. Although you are in University thousands of miles away, know that you are missed every day. May Allah guide your path and bless you with all that is Kheir!! #Alhamdullilah” she wrote.

 

Abdulhakim is actually currently in Canada, where he is studying at some undisclosed institution that is located in Toronto.

Jamila Mohamed actually revealed this to her fans in September 2023, when she personally took him there and wished him all the best in this new chapter of his life.

“University bound! My second last born ameenda chuoni huku mbali! May the Almighty keep guiding your path, my Abdul…haya empty nest beckoning! #Alhamdullilah” she wrote then.

 

At the time, Jamila Mohamed even gave netizens a glimpse of her son Abdulhakim by posting a photo of them together.

The journalist however made sure that his face was not facing the camera, as she has always been private when it comes to matters of her family.

 

Jamila Mohamed however is a mother of five children; three sons and two daughters. They are reportedly called Amin, Mohammed, Abdulhakim, Natesha and Rahma.

The Citizen TV Prime Time news anchor is married to a man called Ahmed Farah, who is the country manager of Trademark East Africa. He has served in the position since 2016.

 

Ahmed Farah was also appointed as a member of the National Investment Council by President William Ruto in December 2022.
