Upcoming Kikuyu musician John Apple was laid to rest on October 8, 2024, in Maragua, Murang’a County, after his death a fortnight ago.During the emotional burial ceremony, one of his close friends revealed that John left behind the names and phone numbers of individuals responsible for his financial losses.

Mercy Nungari, a philanthropist and politician close to John, announced that they would share these phone numbers so those responsible could return the money owed to John.

During the burial ceremony, one of John Apple’s friends revealed that the deceased left behind names of those who made him lose money, leading to his death.

Mercy Nungari, a philanthropist and politician who was close to the deceased, said: “For those who want to know the circumstances surrounding this death, he (John) wrote two phone numbers, and I think we shall now give out these numbers so that those people can bring back John’s money. He also asked his fellow artists to look after his mum.”

John Apple’s last words; According to his last words, Nungari added that she and Karangu Muraya were also asked to care for John’s mum. On his part, Karangu Muraya said he would not stop until he gets justice for the deceased musician.

“He told us clearly that if he dies, we should ask certain people about his money. The names and phone numbers are provided. Those pezople think this case will die after we bury John but we will seek justice and we get John’s money back,” he added.
