Well-known businessman and former presidential candidate named Jimi Wanjigi has said that the Kenya Kwanza government is basically bankrupt, which is a shocking claim that has sent shockwaves through the country.

Speaking on Spice FM radio, Wanjigi claimed that the nation’s coffers are dangerously low and that the current government is dealing with a serious financial crisis.

“The government is bankrupt. President Ruto doesn’t want to admit it.” Wanjigi said.

Wanjigi said that in an attempt to prevent a full-blown economic catastrophe, the Ruto administration has been frantically trying to get outside funds and renegotiate debt repayment arrangements.

“Reality is that the government is struggling to meet its most basic obligations, and the president’s refusal to come clean about the situation is only exacerbating the problem,” he said.

Many Kenyans have demanded urgent clarity and action from the Ruto government in response to Wanjigi’s startling assertions, which have generated a wave of worry and conjecture. The disclosures might be grabbed by the opposition, which charges the government with poor financial management and secrecy.
