Jimi Wanjigi, a prominent Kenyan businessman and political figure, has issued a fiery condemnation of President William Ruto’s government, accusing it of engaging in acts that he equates to terrorism. Speaking at a recent press conference, Wanjigi claimed that Ruto’s administration was resorting to abductions and enforced disappearances as a means to silence those who are fighting for their rights.

“These are not random actions. These abductions are targeted, deliberate, and intended to create fear among Kenyans,” Wanjigi stated firmly. “What the President is doing is tantamount to terrorism. You cannot kidnap innocent Kenyans and think the nation will remain silent. We will not stand by and watch.”

He directed his sharpest criticism at the Inspector General of Police (IG) and the Attorney General (AG), accusing them of blindly following orders that infringe on the constitutional rights of Kenyans. Wanjigi vowed to stand with the families of those who have been abducted, offering his unwavering support in their pursuit of justice.

“I will personally ensure that these families do not walk alone in their darkest hour. We will fight together until our loved ones are brought back. This is not a dictatorship. Kenya is a democracy, and we will not allow the police, the AG, or the President to erode that.”

Wanjigi also sent a stern warning to President Ruto, urging him to cease the alleged abductions immediately. He made it clear that the people of Kenya would not be intimidated, concluding with a rallying call for justice and human rights. “The time for fear is over. Kenyans are awake, and we will not be silenced.”
