In the midst of anti-government demonstrations, Tanzanian artist Sharif Said Juma, better known by his stage name Jay Melody, is demonstrating support for the people of Kenya.

Jay Melody voiced his deep concern about the current state of affairs, which has disturbed the tranquility throughout the nation, on his official Instagram page.

“Amen, Amani yenu irudi kamailivyokua mwazo, binafsi nawaombea kwa Mungu, poleni sana zangu wa Kenya.” Melody stated, “(I’m sorry, my Kenyan brothers and sisters; I personally pray you find peace).”

Celebrities from across the world have been closely monitoring the developments in Kenya about the demonstrations against the government and the anti-Finance Bill.

Tekno Points, A Nigerian musician posted a video of protesting Kenyans in the CBD with the message, “This is not Africa. What is happening in Kenya?” How dare you advocate for Kenya.

Bobi Wine, A political activist and artist from Uganda praised the demonstrators for using their democratic rights. Bobi said on his official social media accounts that the demonstrators’ voice had prevailed, demonstrating that the will of the people is greater than that of the powerful.
