On Monday, November 15, 2021, the Reggae young star took to her official Twitter page to register her discomfort about some stressful issues with regards to her personal love life, sexuality, and career that may threaten her life.

The reggae singer made public her sexuality which may seem to be a very controversial topic in the reggae fraternity.
She tweeted: “I am Lila Ike. I am into women, and I’ve been making reggae music.”
The reggae dancehall fraternity, over the years, has alienated itself from any topic reggae the LGBTQI+ community.
Lila Iké believes her unauthorised pictures might be posted, which is part of a ploy to end her musical career abruptly.
Management of Lila Iké is yet to issue an official statement regarding her rant on Twitter.
Lila Ike is a Jamaican Reggae artiste with elements of soul, hip-hop and dancehall. The free-spirited and easy-going artiste has released a couple of smooth songs through In Digg Nation Collective, a record label and talent pool for Jamaican creatives, which reggae star Protoje founded.
In August, the rising Jamaican star released the official visuals to her single “Batty Rider Shorts,” which has a clear message against sex predators and organised crime.
Inspired by her personal story observed in her community, Lila cries out for help from authorities to protect children from sexual predators and crime and violence.
The multi-talented Lila Ike has released strings of songs that fused contemporary reggae with elements of soul, hip-hop and dancehall. She has earned critical acclaim from Complex, BBC 1xtra, NYLON, Flaunt, Essence, The FADER and Refinery29 as an artist to watch. She won a Grammy award for her contribution to Koffee’s “Toast” song.
