Kiss FM breakfast presenter Jalango has narrated how he once pierced his ears to look cool only for him to end up being thoroughly beaten by his dad.
This he did out of peer pressure. Sharing the incident with his co-host Kamene, the father of two says he can still ‘feel’ his dad’s slap.
Speaking during the Morning Kiss, he shared, “I was beaten mpaka hio shimo ikafungika. My friend Patroba was a rich kid and having a piercing was deemed cool, so he is the one who influenced me to get my ears pierced.
One day I woke up with a swollen ear, I then decided to ditch things that are meant for women. I no longer have a mid-life crisis.
The only middle life crisis is my small car.
I can’t sag my trousers, kuchoma nywele or get piercings hio ni umama.”

This is not the first time Jalango has been caught up in a mid-life crisis.
He once shared how he spent all his money on a TV once he received his first salary.
According to Jalango, he treated his friend Captain Otoyo to lunch. Speaking during the Morning Kiss, he shared:
âI checked my salary and withdrew 2K, I then went to Mac Fries and bought fries. I called Otoyo and told him âkuja hapa kuna chipo na kuku.ââ
Jalas added:
”I also bought myself a new bed and upgraded my TV. I bought a new one for around 18-20K, at least it was clear than what I had. Can you imagine sleeping on a new bed, watching TV and you are full?” He joked
