We are all created in the image and likeness of the Almighty and in His eyes we are all equal. Today, i bring you an emotional story of fast-rising gospel musician, Dottie Melez.
According to Tuko news report on their tweeter account, Dottie admitted to have a dark past. This started after her parents died and was forced to drop out of school. Melez was forced to work as a waitress and bar attend and that is when she was sucked into alcoholism and selling herself for money.
For three years, Dottie made money from selling herself, photos and video of her undressed. However, she got tired and went back to church where Dottie started to sing gospel songs.
Unfortunately, as much as she has turned a new leaf , her past still haunts her. This is after some promoters cancel her shows after hearing about her past. She said,
“Every time I get shows, some of the people who know my past share those details and photos with the client. It is really painful because I am no longer who I used to be back then, and my work for the ministry is very clean.”
