Jacque Maribe and Jowie were expected to know their fate today. Lady Justice Grace Nziika was expected to make a ruling in the murder case involving a trader killed in September 19, 2018.
However the ruling has been pushed forward to December 15, 2023. Dennis Itumbi, a close ally to Jacque Maribe has reacted to the adjournment.
According to Itumbi Justice to the family and to Jacque Maribe will one day come. Itumbi wrote;
“Ruling in the Jacque Maribe case adjourned to December 15, 2023. Justice to family and to Jacque will be served, it may Tarry, like scripture notes, but it shall surely come.” Itumbi’s message reads.
Had the ruling been done today Jacque Maribe would have either been acquitted or convicted.
Lead prosecutor, Gikuhi Gichuhi had urged the judge to convict the duo. According to the prosecutor they had proved beyond reasonable doubt through evidence supported by witness statements that Jowie and Jacque killed the trader.
With the adjournment however Jacque and the family of the murdered trader will now have to wait until December this year to know their fate.
