On Wednesday, there were skirmishes between the police and the opposition as anti-government demonstrations erupted across the nation. As the opposition flocked to the streets to protest the high cost of living and what they believe an oppressive and repressive financial law pioneered by Kenya’s Kwanza government, numerous incidences of injury and property destruction have been reported.
President William Samoa Ruto’s digital strategist Dennis Itumbi reportedly disclosed what transpired the day before these massive protests as clouds of misery and panic cover most areas of the nation, particularly the capital of Nairobi.
According to Itumbi, on Tuesday, what he has referred to as Azimio Maandanano Committee contributed Ksh. 1 million to pay thugs from Embakasi East, Kamukunji, and Kibera. The reason and motive behind this was to allegedly bring down Nairobi Expressway and storm Kitengela Police Station.
Regrettably, the youths failed to show up as per these latest allegations by Itumbi who also remains a key ally of President William Samoei Ruto and an insider within the Kenya Kwanza government.
