Opposition leader Raila Odinga, speaking passionately in Nyamira County, has demanded immediate action from the government against Kenyan radio stations conducting lottery games.
Raila strongly urged Ruto’s administration to shut down these stations to prevent what he referred to as open theft of money from Kenyan citizens.
Expressing his concern over the unabated exploitation of Kenyans, Raila gave a stern ultimatum of three days to the government to close all lottery-based radio stations. He emphasized that failure to act swiftly would prompt the Azimio movement to pursue legal measures against the stations.
“It’s daylight robbery against Kenyans, and I refuse to stand by idly. I’m instructing Ruto’s Regime to step in and shut down these lottery radio stations,” Raila asserted.
The opposition leader’s firm stance highlights his commitment to safeguarding the public from financial exploitation and signals a readiness to escalate the matter to the courts if necessary. Raila’s call for immediate action underscores the urgency of addressing what he sees as a pressing issue affecting Kenyans’ financial security.
