Today the Azimio Coalition has issued another revised schedule of the planned mass protest where they added two more days of protests beginning Wednesday all to Friday. Through a press statement sent to news room, the coalition said that the decision was arrived at after public demand from Kenyans who asked for more days.

This announcement comes despite the government warning that they will not allow any more protests in the country. Ranging from the Interior CS, the president and his deputy, the Kenya Kwanza administration has vowed to crack the weep on anyone who will participate in the protests regardless of their political or social status.

“Further to the communication issued yesterday on the Third Wave of peaceful protests scheduled to start on Wednesday next week, and following overwhelming requests from all sectors of the Kenyan Public for the need to intensify these demonstrations, the Coalition hereby wishes to announce a revision of the calendar Going forward, the peaceful protests will now be held on Wednesday. Thursday and Friday next week, in line with requests from the public to include three days of activity. Let’s meet on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.” A statement by AZIMIO LA UMOJA reads.

Following that announcement by Azimio that they will be holding mass protest for three consecutive days starting next week, president William Ruto has now come out vowing that he will not allow any protest to happen. While speaking today, Ruto said that the previous two protests has seen Kenyans losing their lives and destruction of properties and that it’s his right to safeguard the lives and properties of Kenyans.

While sending the warning to the Azimio Coalition, Ruto has reveals that his government has put up an elaborate plan to ensure that the planned protests for next week do not happen under his watch.
