Tanzanian singer Juma Jux has been in the country this past week and spoke about things other than his ex, Vanessa Mdee.
While in the country, the man was interviewed by Mseto East Africa where he revealed a lot about his creative process and also working with Kenyan maestro, Nyashinski.
He admitted that it had always been a dream to work with the very private rapper, admitting that it hadn’t been easy to get him to feature on his track ‘In case You Don’t Know’.
“He is talented and I knew it was not easy to get him, but I was looking forward to working with him.”

He explained that a tweet by Nyashinski where he appreciated a song Jux had done, had been the genesis of the two collaborating,
“Immediately, I reached out and asked if we could work on a collaboration. I sent him a DM. He responded and gave me his WhatsApp number, and I sent the verse of the song, ‘In case you didn’t know’, and he liked it,” the singer explained.
Juma went on to say that his Kenyan counterpart had not disappointed and sent him his verse after a couple of days.
“He was impressed and in two to three days, he sent me his verse, but it took a year to do the video. I was busy and he was busy. We decided to do it at the end of the year. I communicated on the day we would shoot the video. He was not available the day I was in Nairobi. Everything was set but he was not available even on phone. I went to look for the outfit but coming back, I found Nyash on the location and all set.”
