The late Chebukati cherished visiting his parents at his Sabata farm, where he found peace in its lush, green surroundings.

His compound was a breathtaking sight, adorned with well-trimmed flowers that added to its serene beauty.

The meticulously maintained landscape reflected his love for nature, creating a spectacular and tranquil environment that he deeply treasured during his visits.

Addressing the press on Friday morning, family spokesperson Eric Wafula disclosed that the family would soon issue a comprehensive statement regarding Chebukati’s death.

The former IEBC chair died at a Nairobi hospital on Thursday, February 20, just before 11 p.m., after a protracted fight with an undisclosed ailment.

The family spokesperson urged Kenyans to refrain from speculation regarding the cause of death.

In response to inquiries about a possible autopsy, the family disclosed that no decision had yet been made. A meeting scheduled for tomorrow will determine whether a post-mortem will be conducted.

The physicians’ input in tomorrow’s consultative meeting will play a crucial role in this decision.

Meanwhile, Chebukati’s body has been transferred to the renowned Lee Funeral Home as arrangements for his final rites continue.
