The rate of people killing their partners has been on the rise for the past few months in Kenya.
In a shocking and tragic sequence of events, Akuku is suspected of committing a heinous act, hacking to death his 23-year-old wife Emily Akinyi, their six-year-old child Joseph Ouma, his 72-year-old uncle Thomas Odula, and his 55-year-old aunt Mary Kuya Otieno with a machete.
The horrifying incident unfolded on a Saturday evening when Akuku, armed with a machete, attacked his wife and son before deceiving his elderly uncle by fabricating a tale of a family dispute. Subsequently, Akuku disappeared into a cane plantation, leaving behind a scene of unimaginable violence and sorrow. The community is left in shock and grief as authorities intensify efforts to locate the suspect and make sense of this tragic series of events.
