The Inspector General of police has given a report to the security department regarding December festive season.Through an official memo, Kanja has asked the drivers and pedestrians to use the public roads properly in order to minimize road accidents during this festive season.He has assured Kenyans that the Traffic police department is alert to ensure safety.However, IG Kanja has warned Kenyans on the use of illicit brews during this festive season.Those found consuming illicit substances or opening bars at the wrong time will face legal consequences.In addition he has ordered the police officers who are on leave to resume to work immediately.’Meanwhile I have recalled all police officers who are on leave to resume duty with immediate effect ‘ IG Kanja revealed.
