The speech made by a father of the bride to his new son in law has made many people happy for his timely message about domestic violence.
A Twitter user shared his speech, congratulating the father for being open to receiving his daughter in the event the marriage doesn’t work out.
Many told that parents should welcome back their daughters not shame them for a failed marriage.
Father of the bride said in his speech today, “my love for my daughter has no bounds and I hand her over to you in faith that she will receive the same love so when you find that you no longer feel that love, bring my daughter back to me”.
He added: “If snakes don’t move up your spine when you miss her, if you no longer see sparkles of diamonds in her teary eyes and if you don’t see gold in her teeth when she smiles, then bring my precious jewel back to me.‘
One person responded to the story ‘I love it. The practice of making daughters or even sons stay in a destructive marriage has to stop. If it’s not working, it’s not working.‘
