Kikuyu constituency Member of Parliament (MP) and leader of the Majority in the National Assembly Hon Kimani Ichung’wah has attracted public uproar after throwing fresh jibes at the former Head of State His Excellency President Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta one year after he handed over the elements of power to his predecessor Dr William Ruto.

This is after he slammed the retired President for allegedly misusing his position of power and building himself a runway at his Northlands City property.

According to Mr Ichung’wah, when Uhuru was still in power, he made State Capture his way of life whereby he used is political influence, to manipulate government policies for attainment of his private business interests.

“We have made it okay that you as a president can do whatever you want. You can decide to construct a runway at your rural home so that you don’t have to go to Wilson you can just land on your farm” He indicated during an exclusive interview with renowned journalist George Maringa of TV 47.

In a sarcastic fashion, Kimani Ichung’wah also moved on to indicate that Uhuru Kenyatta, should have used his political power, to make his family’s milk business a monopoly because he was only after fulfilling his own selfish gains.

“Why not influence government policy to make sure their milk business becomes a monopoly?” the outspoken legislator posed during the show.

Little known to many, the airport that President Uhuru built at his Northlands City farm contains a functional runway which can allow for the landing of private planes and jets.

“At the tail-end of the runway is an unmarked building, which is believed to be a hangar for aircraft”
