In a recent revelation, Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah has made explosive claims against former President Uhuru Kenyatta, accusing him of utilizing state resources during his tenure for personal projects. Ichung’wah alleges that the former president engaged a Chinese company to construct a private city on his own land, along with a dedicated road funded by public money from the national Treasury.

A vocal critic of the former president, Ichung’wah contends that Kenyatta exploited public resources for personal gain, particularly benefiting his family. The accusation extends to the construction of a housing program on Kenyatta’s farm, raising concerns about a potential conflict of interest as he assumes the role of landlord within his private city. Not sparing public entities, Ichung’wah calls out the Kenya National Highways Authority (KENHA), tasked with public road construction, questioning their involvement in building a private road to Kenyatta’s city using taxpayer money.

Ichung’wah further claims that Kenyatta is actively supporting legal challenges to thwart a housing program intended to benefit many Kenyans. The majority leader suggests that such actions may perpetuate a system where citizens remain tenants on Kenyatta’s private property, describing it as a move towards modern-day servitude.
