The governor of Trans Nzoia County George Natembeya has revealed of what he was told by a Ford Kenya MP before attending the burial in Trans Nzoia where Wetangula was also in attendance. According to him, he was warned of plans against him and the possibility of him being harmed if he dared attend the burial.
Natembeya is clear that, leaders associated with Ford Kenya Party mobilized people against him and that’s how the chaos erupted. Natembeya is firm that, there was a plan to have him assassinated but fortunately God intervened and helped him overcome the challenge.
Natembeya has also affirmed that, he was extremely shocked to see police officers throwing teargas his way yet he committed no offense. He is clear that, his trouser was hot by a teargas canister and that’s something that pains him in a big way.
