A former Catholic sister has sparked nationwide debate after sharing a shocking testimony about alleged abuse and exploitation within the Church.
In her Facebook post, she revealed how her decision to resist immoral advances led to her dismissal from the congregation.
“I was fired for refusing to be a church prostitute,” she wrote, describing the deep pain she endured while serving as a consecrated woman.
The sister, identified as Sr Kinse Annastasia, used her social media platform to uncover the hidden struggles many women face behind church walls.
In her powerful statement, Sr Annastasia said that religious sisters are not priests’ wives or bedmates.
She explained that nuns dedicate their lives to prayer, service, and faith, yet some are treated as possessions or tools for personal gain. She recounted moments when priests used their spiritual authority to exploit sisters and how silence within the Church allowed such acts to continue unchecked.
She also condemned the misuse of power by some superiors who mistreat their fellow sisters, warning that such behaviour destroys the integrity of religious life.
According to her, silence only protects abusers and damages the Church’s image.
Sr Annastasia urged Church leaders to create safe platforms for victims to report abuse without fear or intimidation.
She ended her post by pledging to support any genuine reform effort that upholds justice and dignity within the Church.
Her testimony has drawn strong reactions from both clergy and believers, with many calling for deeper investigations and accountability within religious institutions.
