Some hours ago Kenya diaspora media aired the story of a Kenyan pastor who talked about his life in drugs, robbery and con manship before his life took a turn. His name is Steve Kibiwott who was born and raised in Nandi county but today he lives in Uasin Gishu county. He started taking alcohol and drugs when he was in class eight which forced him to dropped out of school. All his siblings were taking alcohol because his parents were selling the traditional brew.

One day they were accused of raping a secondary school students with his friends which made him run away from home and that was how he ended up in Nairobi. In Nairobi he became popular as a result of his drugs addiction and he joined rastafarian cult where they were worshiping every Friday. He started working at country bus as a Rasta man where he collided with the Mungiki people sect and he had to run for his rescue to the police station.

He started living with his friend who was a police man and he started trying to change him. That was when he shaved his dreadlocks and he started walking alongside him. From there he started pretending to be a police man with the help of his friend. He pretended to be a police man for three years until he met another friend of his who was also a police officer. The friend was from Mt Kenya and he exposed him to people which made him run away.

By God’s luck he was able escape and he went back to the police station. He met his other friend who asked him to run away since there was an order of shoot to kill kill him. He started living in the streets of Nairobi where he was taking alcohol and bhang. He later went back home in Uasin Gishu where he met his father who was 80 years old and his wife who was still waiting for him all along.

He later went to Eldoret where he was working as a conductor until 2001. In 2001 that was when he was born again and his life changed for good. Today he is working as a counsellor and a pastor. Watch the full video below and share your views with us.
