Like any other person out there who love to celebrate their birthdays, Kambua was also indeed over the moon to mark the milestone.
She actually took to her Instagram account and penned herself a lovely birthday message, as she officially opened another chapter with regards to her life.
In the birthday message however Kambua made a chilling confession, where she revealed that she almost died during the last decade when she was in her 30s.
As she turns 40 however, she is now proud that she got through what nearly killed her and she is now a living testimony of how tough times don’t last forever.
“40!! Fabulous! Favoured! Fearless! Forever indebted to YHWH for Fighting for me in every season. I survived a decade that nearly broke me, and threatened to take me out, BUT GOD. I stand boldly as a testament of trials and triumphs!
I have been at the precipice of something. Something greater than my mind can conceive. I sense it with my whole being. In this milestone year, I will not settle for anything less than what God has called me to be. My vision is clearer that it’s ever been…”
Kambua added:
“God, it’s a yes even now. Yes to your way. Yes to your will. Yes to your time.
Your peace is my peace. Your joy is my joy. Your strength is your strength. Your yes is my yes.
Jesus thank you for the journey that brought me to 40, and thank you for the journey that leads me on 🧎🏾♀️➡️ ✨️🖤 “.
The years of 2014 to 2024 were indeed a difficult period for Kambua, because it can be remembered she lost both her father and her son during that period.
The talented singer unfortunately lost her beloved father on the 9th of April 2014, and the incident indeed left her heart in pieces.
This is because her dad was someone who was close to her and he even used to support her music by appearing at her shows.
In February 2021, tragedy struck again in the family of Kambua, after she unfortunately lost her son Malachi Manundu Muthiga Mathu.
The young one unfortunately died just days after she delivered him, and it was such a heartbreaking loss that Kambua still mourns him up to date.
