Residents of Eldoret have accused an agency of defrauding them, KSh 40, 000 in order to get a job in Qatar during the world cup.The complainants were supposed to travel to Qatar to offer their services for five months during the FIFA world cup in November.
According to the person, they were to travel to Qatar between June and July, but they have not, and the agency had remained mum on that.
However, First Choice Agency Founder Judy Jepchirchir has defended herself from the Gulf saga.
“I have not asked people to resign and come to me to get jobs,” Judy.
“Most of the complainants are saying they sold land, cows for Sh40,000. Is it justifiable?”
Her defend comes a day after Residents In Eldoret held Demonstrations demanding their money back.
Taking to the streets to express their frustrations, Residents have stated that they want a refund in cash, ‘we don’t want bouncing cheque’s’ they wrote on their Placards.
While reacting to this incident, Kenyans who took to their different social media platforms to express their opinion on this topic have urged The government under President William Ruto to do something about the increasing number of rogue agencies in the country.
