Maina Kageni has some advise for women who think they should wait for their man who has left to work elsewhere.
He told them ‘to move on’. He added that the minute he is out the door, she should look for a replacement. But surprisingly, a wife disagreed.
The woman began her tale
My husband left in 1999 and I am still waiting for him. He came back once in 2019. If he was to get married I will still be the first wife.
This sentence caught the attention of Classics Maina who thought it mind boggling she is waiting.
The wife who has been faithful for 22 years to a man she hasn’t seen told her beautiful love story.
‘I’ve been alone for 22 years. He left in 1999 when I was 27 years and now I am 49. And I am still waiting. I thought that one day he will remember and come back. I have been waiting for 22 years from 1999 to date. He came once when his mother died, and that is it. And I am still waiting for him because I believe he will come back. It’s not really waiting, I’ve been busy. I’ve been bringing up our children and working on my career. And that’s what keeps me going, the kids are now grown u. Now I can look for a life, I have reached the peak of my career, I still consider him my husband, because where do I go to? I don’t want to be married elsewhere as a second ife, I know he is not alone where he is, but I know even if he is married I am still his first wife , it really doesn’t bother me, it doesn’t really bother me so much’
Her story impressed Mwalimu Kikingangi and another man who wrote
@DrMyles3…Our current ladies by the time you are getting a visa to fly abroad, she already has an option to replace you. Saitan!
