Renowned TV comedian Nathan Muya, better known as JB Masanduku, has opened up about his struggle with depression. Speaking in a candid interview with a local site, Masunduku said his mental heath has been at stake for several months.

This has forced him to seek solace in alcohol to find temporarily relief. ”I am not okay, and this has led me to seek solace in alcohol just to find temporary relief,” he opened up.

Masanduku said he regrets being a celebrity, adding that fame brought a multitude of negativity. He lamented that people pass judgement to him every day even during difficult times.

Masanduku. who is Starehe Boys Center Alumnae, said he wished to be an Engineer and never thought that he would end up to be a comedian. JB Masanduku’s academic journey took him to Belgorod State Technological University in Russia, where he pursued a double major in Civil and Structural Engineering.

He wished he concentrated on a career that does not expose him to the limelight.

”Fame brought with it a multitude of negativity, and I find myself deeply regretting being in the limelight” Masanduku said.
