Morara Kebaso Senior, a civic leader and outspoken critic of government corruption, said that President William Ruto recently sent him an offer to join his government.

Morara stated in a tweet that has since gone viral that he politely turned down the offer of a high-level job in the administration, even though it was appealing.

“I don’t want to lie. I have received offers to join the government, even from the president himself, but I told him I am just fine,” He said.

He chose to stay independent because he wants to hold the government responsible. This is something he is known for, just like his grandfather, who was a famous critic of the State.

The younger Morara, who is known for his unwavering efforts to reveal graft and waste of public funds, has been travelling the country to bring attention to the poor handling of funds and other problems that the country is facing.

A lot of people, especially younger Kenyans who are disappointed with the political establishment, back his activism. Morara stays committed to his goal, even though it comes with challenges and possible risks

In a recent interview, he said, “Nobody should lack clean drinking water, education, and a good road.” This shows how deeply he cares about social justice.

Netizens think that Morara’s choice to turn down a government job shows how honest he is and how dedicated he is to his cause.

Kenya is still having trouble with corruption and poor government, and people’s views like Morara’s are very important for keeping the government in check. His failure to fit in with the system makes it clear that he is loyal to the people, not to power.
