Kenyan men let’s talk! When was the last time you took your woman out on a date?
That was the Friday September 24 morning topic by Maina Kageni that elicited a heated debate.
Men told Maina that they don’t like posting wives pictures because other men will want her, others gave the excuse that once a political campaign is done, the posters must be removed, while women told Maina that they feel worthless by husbands who don’t take them out.
A wife told of her loveless marriage and the frustration that comes with it.
“Let me tell you Maina. You see these men when they marry you na ukifika kwake nyumbani, I don’t know what changed. Most say if you love your wife you should not put her in public like social media. But they put other ladies. He goes to a party and puts photos with other women and he can’t do that with me. Most married women feel neglected and go out there to look for somebody who will give her attention and the care that we need, coz when ladies love we love and we post our men without feeling ashamed. Lakini mtu anenda out anatafuta ka side chick but when he comes home he tells his wife it was a business meeting. Me I can’t even remember the last time he posted me or the last time he took me out on a date , he has never even told me I want to take you out”
