Tahidi High actor Dennis Mugo alias OJ has said he knew he had become an alcoholic when he couldn’t think without taking a drink.
The actor says he had managed to hide the ‘problem’ and not even his bosses knew about it.
Speaking during an interview with ‘Glow with Makena’ OJ shared, “I knew I had become addicted when I couldn’t think without taking a drink.
Adding, “I would get to the office and need a drink. My boss would say he wants a creative idea and all I could think of is that I needed a drink.
At the time Tahidi high had come to an end and I was working with an advertising agency.
They did not know about my problem (addiction).
Most alcoholics hide their addictions.
Phil Karanja and Abel Mutua really tried to help me come out of the drinking habit. Abel does not drink.”

OJ added, “I would get into a bar and even without money, people would buy me drinks.
I would have my money but people would offer to buy me drinks. I was not spending and there was the celebrity factor.”
