Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu has opened a can of worms after urging men to stop sending money to women.
In s statement, Suluhu is alleged to have said ‘ ‘Men, if ladies who are not your wives ask you for money, report them to the nearest police stations’. She has been dubbed by men online as the bonge la rais, for her solutions.
On the Friday October 29th morning conversation, a woman called in bragging how she got men to send her thousands all with lies.
‘We have no intention of falling in love with them, we always ask for money from men we see are potential givers. I tell them niko tao nimeona nguo and I am short of 1k. I have ever asked ikafika 10k in an hour, by different men with the same story, and I know they will have to give it up because they want to see me again. I don’t meet them after because I will come up with excuses not to see them like siko karibu urongo mingi, but I collected money with the same story. Halafu wanakupigia wauliza umepata, itatosha?. Unashindwa hii thenge, hata haioni? If he starts becoming stingy we do away with them’
How is she sure the men will send money? She explained
‘We have a charm. I told them uonge mingi.. Maina do you know they even call to ask umepata and itatosha? You can tell them you are sick or are going for a funeral, or that it’s your birthday’.
The men she called gullible reacted sharply and told Maina they don’t know how they keep falling for the lies.
