On Sunday 21st April 2024, Siaya county governor honorable James Orengo while at General Francis Ogolla’s Burial ceremony in Siaya county declared Infront of president William Samoei Ruto that he was the one who tried to change Ruto’s Victory at Bomas of Kenya and not anyone else.
In 2023, President William Samoei Ruto told the nation that Chief of Defence Forces General Francis Ogolla was among those people who went to Bomas of Kenya to try to force IEBC chairman honorable Wafula Chebukati to change Ruto’s Victory to Raila’s.
Cabinet secretary for Defence honorable Aden Duale also claimed that General Francis Ogolla was a man of integrity and with his thinking, he could not attempt to do such thing. Raila Odinga also defended the general over the same.
Orengo said this while in Siaya during the burial ceremony attended by president William Samoei Ruto, the deputy president honorable Rigathi Gachagua, prime cabinet secretary, national Assembly Speaker honorable Moses Masika Wetangula among other leaders.
