Speaking during a service in Embu, Gachagua said that Mundigi was from a humble background and did not even own a car and had no clothings. He applauded Embu voters for picking Mundigi from grass to grace.
“He did not have a car, clothings and owned nothing. You Embu people decided that you don’t want party politics and that you wanted someone who is humble and with nothing and make him be seen as a King,” Gachagua said while referring to Embu Senator Mundigi.
Gachagua went ahead and asserted that he was the one who bought Mundigi his first suit in parliament and that they picked him with a car after he boarded a Matatu to attend his first session in parliament.
“This Mundigi, the day he was elected, he did not even a car. He used Matatu and we sent a Car to pick him. I bought him the first suit he wore to parliament and now you see how he is well dressed,” the Deputy President said.
Gachagua went ahead and used Senator Mundigi’s story to say that his election signifies that anybody if he trusts God and be humble, he will be lifted up.
