In the country, there are several Kenyans who have been struggling with the high cost of living. Further, the government led by President William Ruto had been working extra hard to make sure that essential commodities were affordable in the country.
According to the source, finally, Kenyans have a chance to smile as prices of essential commodities reduce. As information shared by Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi, he has confirmed that most households in the country have started feeling the reduced inflation.
He has confirmed that soon prices of sugar and other good commodities will reduce as the government is working with the manufacturers to make sure that they have reduced the prices.
I quote his statement from the source, “I know many will say the inflation data does not reflect reality on the ground, but we are getting there systematically. We now intend to put more focus on revitalising our manufacturing sector through various incentives to brew job creation and power local productivity. Affordable credit to SMEs is our priority. This is being done through focused policies.ā John Mbadi has confirmed in a statement.
It has been revealed that 2 kg of maize has been reduced to Ksh 127, 2 kg of sugar have been reduced to Ksh 255 depending on the region, and rice has dropped compared to last year.
These are good news for all Kenyans, as the government has confirmed that prices of essential commodities have started reducing ahead of the Christmas festival.
