According to the Kenyan constitution there are several grounds for removal of the President from office.
1 Article 150 for instance lists some grounds and the process that can be followed before the Deputy President is removed. below are the grounds;
On the grounds of physical or mental incapacity to perform the functions or on impeachment
-On the ground of gross violation of a provision of the constitution or any other law
-Where there are serious reasons to believe that the Deputy President has committed a crime under national or international law; or
-For gross misconduct
- The provisions of Articles 144 and 145 relating to the removal of the President shall apply, within the necessary modifications to the removal of the Deputy President.
