The high court of Kenya, on Friday, 18th October, 2024 issued a conservatory orders stopping the replacement of the impeached deputy president Rigathi Gachagua.
Kenyans, have however, reacted after learning of the court of Kenya’s orders. Gachagua was set to be replaced later before Mashujaa Day celebrations.
The high court orders that the Senate decision to have Gachagua impeachment stay until Tuesday have been stayed by the High Court untill next week on 24th.
This means that Gachagua for the moment will be the Deputy president of Kenya untill otherwise is determined.

“Nothing will happen. Kindiki will be sworn in today.”
“Even the acting IG was summoned by the court. He didn’t show up and nothing happened.
