She is no doubt one of the best Swahili news anchors to ever grace the TV screens in the country. At the peak of her media career, Jane Ngoiri made a name for herself while working for the Nation Media Group- owned NTV.

It was while working at the twin towers along Kimathi Street that Ngoiri fully established herself as a top Swahili news anchor in Kenya.

While at NTV, Ngoiri was always in the category of other top female news anchors in the country alongside the Citizen TV pair of Lulu Hassan and Kellen Kanze Dena, who would later be appointed as State House Spokesperson by former President Uhuru Kenyatta.

But in 2021, after almost a decade at NTV, Ngoiri pulled a shocker when he called it quits. Her time at twin towers was up and it was time to take a new career path. The melodious voice that had kept Kenyans glued on their TV screens, had left the media industry forever.

After two years of being behind the scenes, in 2023, Ngoiri bounced back in style when she was appointed as a member of the HIV/AIDS Tribunal in the country.

For someone who was almost forgotten just two years after leaving NTV, it was a remarkable comeback that has crowned her stellar career as a respectable figure in the history of Kenya’s journalism.
